If a Bangladeshi citizen has lost their Machine-Readable Passport (MRP) or E-passport but can provide a copy of the lost MRP or E-passport with unchanged information, they are eligible to apply for a new passport using the details from the lost one.
- Applicants must schedule an appointment prior to visiting the Passport Application Centre. Appointments can be made through expatserviceskl ,the ESKL mobile application, or by contacting our Help Desk.
- Kindly attend the Application Centre on your scheduled appointment date and ensure that all required documents are brought with you.
- The application form must be completed at the Application Centre by an authorized officer in the presence of the applicant.
- All payments must be made exclusively at the Application Centre. Please ensure that you obtain the official receipt, as it serves as proof of payment.
- Proceed with the enrolment of your biometric data as part of the application process.
- Collect your passport from the nearest post office once the processing is completed.
The following documents are required for a Bangladesh Passport application in cases of a lost passport for applicants aged 18 years and above:
- Proof of Identity:
- Bangladeshi National ID card OR
- Online Birth Certificate with a 17-digit code. (BRC English Version)
- Photocopy of Passport:
- Include copies of two pages from your existing Bangladeshi passport that contain your biodata (personal information) and your parents’ details.
- Current Visa Status:
- Include a photocopy of your Malaysian visa.
- Police Report:
- Police Report from Malaysia Police Station.
