Passport Application for New Born Baby
Applicants born outside of Bangladesh, such as newborn babies, are entitled to obtain a Bangladesh Passport by Descent.
- Book an appointment to visit the Passport Application Centre. You can do this by visiting expatserviceskl or contacting our help desk.
- On the scheduled day of your appointment, visit the application centre and ensure you have all required documents with you.
- Complete the application form at the application centre. A designated officer will assist you, and your presence is required during this process.
- Make the necessary payment exclusively at the application centre. It is essential to obtain a receipt, as it will be required for passport collection.
- Proceed with the enrollment of your biometric data as part of the application process.
- The processing time for an e-passport is 21 working days.

The required documents for obtaining a Bangladesh Passport by Descent for applicants born outside of Bangladesh, such as newborn babies, include:
- Birth Certificate:
- Photocopy and original copy (attested) of birth certificate issued by Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara (JPN) of Malaysia.
- Bangladesh Birth Certificate:
- Photocopy of Bangladesh birth certificate and copy of online verification. The place of birth in the Bangladesh birth registration must be Malaysia.
- Parents’ Documents:
- Copy of parents’ passports and visas.
- Marriage Certificate:
- Attested copy of the marriage certificate or marriage certificate of the parents.
- Photographs:
- Passport size photograph of the child.
- 3R/4R photograph if the child is below 3 years of age.
- Passport size photograph of each parent.
- Accompaniment:
- Children must be accompanied by their parents during the application process.
