New Born Baby PASSPORT/ MINOR Passport

Passport Application for New Born Baby / Minor

For children born in Malaysia/Minor (Below 18 years Old) who wish to apply for a Bangladeshi e-passport at Kuala Lumpur Mission passport office, the following documents and information are required:

  1. Book an appointment to visit the Passport Application Centre. You can do this by visiting expatserviceskl or contacting our help desk.
  2. On the scheduled day of your appointment, visit the application centre and ensure you have all required documents with you.
  3. Complete the application form at the application centre. A designated officer will assist you, and your presence is required during this process.
  4. Make the necessary payment exclusively at the application centre. It is essential to obtain a receipt, as it will be required for passport collection.
  5. Proceed with the enrolment of your biometric data as part of the application process.
  6. The processing time for an e-passport is 21 working days.
  7. To retrieve your passport, please log in  https://epassport.gov.bd/authorization/application-status

Applicants born outside Bangladesh, including newborn babies, who wish to obtain a Bangladesh Passport by Descent are required to submit the following documents:

  1. Birth Certificate:
    • Photocopy and original copy of birth certificate issued by Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara (JPN) of Malaysia.
  2. Bangladesh Birth Certificate (English Version):
    • The birth certificate must be issued by the Bangladesh High Commission in Kuala Lumpur, duly signed, and accompanied by an online verification copy.
  3. Parents’ Documents:
    • Copy of parents’ passports and Malaysia visas.
    • Copy of parents’ NID or Online Birth Certificate.
  4. Marriage Certificate:
    • Copy of the parent e-apostille marriage certificate attest from Foreign Ministry and Law Ministry.
  5. Legal Guardianship Proof (If applicable): 
    • In cases involving adoption or a legal guardian, a No Objection Certificate (NOC) issued by the Security Services Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs is required, along with the guardian’s NID or passport copy.
  6. Photographs:
    • One (1) passport-sized photograph of the child with a white background. Please ensure that the child is not dressed in light-coloured clothing when the photograph is taken.
    • 4R photograph if the child is below 3 years of age.
  7. Accompaniment:
    • Children must be accompanied by their parents during the application process.

The required documents for obtaining a Bangladesh Passport for a minor applicant below 18 years of age are as follows:

  1. Applicant Proof of Identity:
    • Bangladeshi National ID card OR
    • Online Birth Certificate with a 17-digit code (BRC English Version).
  2. Photocopy of the Applicant’s Passport
    • Include copies of two pages from your existing Bangladeshi passport that contain your biodata (personal information) and your parents’ details.
  3. Current Status Visa:
    • Photocopy of your Malaysian visa.
  4. Parents’ Documents:
    • Copy of parents’ passports and Malaysia visas.
    • Copy of parents’ NID or Online Birth Certificate (BRC English version).
  5. Legal Guardianship Proof (If applicable): 
    • In cases involving adoption or a legal guardian, a No Objection Certificate (NOC) issued by the Security Services Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs is required, along with the guardian’s NID or passport copy.
